Mr. Harrington is President and Co-Founder of Grant Street Group. Prior to forming the Company, he and his partner, Dan Veres, were principals of Grant Street Advisors, an independent financial advisor to municipal and non-profit bond issuers. During the first 15 years of his professional career Mr. Harrington was an investment banker at both Wall Street and regional firms.
Mr. Harrington received his undergraduate degree from Georgetown University and his MBA from Carnegie-Mellon University.
Dan Veres is Executive Vice President, Chief Operating Officer and Co-Founder of Grant Street Group. He is responsible for operating units within Grant Street Group including auction operations, project management and information technology. Before joining with Myles Harrington to form Grant Street Advisors and Grant Street Group, he was an Associate Vice President at Wheat First Butcher Singer (now Wachovia Securities) in the Pittsburgh Public Finance office. Dan has over 20 years of public finance experience during which time he has worked on numerous tax-exempt and taxable municipal issues in a variety of sectors.
Dan served as an aviator and Captain in the United States Army subsequent to receiving a graduate MBA degree in 1989 from the University of Pittsburgh's Katz Graduate School of Business. He is registered as a General Securities Representative and Government Securities Principal with the National Association of Security Dealers (NASD).
Mr. Haskins joined Grant Street Group as CFO in June 1999. Prior to joining Grant Street Group, he held financial positions at Fisher Scientific International since September 1998. From 1995 to 1998, he was Director of Finance at Tippins Incorporated. Before Tippins, he was manager of financial planning at Black Box Corporation and the Carbide/Graphite Group. Mr. Haskins' experience includes two leveraged buyouts, a capital restructuring and an initial public offering (IPO).
Mr. Haskins received a BA from Washington & Jefferson College and an MBA from the University of Pittsburgh's Katz Graduate School of Business. He is also a Certified Management Accountant (CMA).
Mr. Burnette joined Grant Street Group in 2000 and became Chief Technology Officer in 2001. Previously, he served as a Consultant for Consumers Energy in Jackson, Michigan and as a Research Software Developer at Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) in Pasadena, California, where he received four NASA technical achievement awards. In addition, he worked as a Software Developer at the University of Arizona and the Mueller Institute for Biomechanics at the University of Bern, Switzerland.
Fred led Grant Street Group's efforts in drafting TaxSys' initial functional requirements and subsequent design and continues to play a major role in overseeing TaxSys, including managing all the information technology personnel who contribute to TaxSys.
Mr. Burnette received his undergraduate degree in Computer Science from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and a Master's degree in Computer Science from the University of Southern California.
Bob wrote the first line of code for Grant Street Group in November 1996. He has since managed the growth of the Software Development group to several teams of developers working on dozens of database-backed web applications with over 1,000,000 lines of code. Prior to joining Grant Street Group, Bob developed award-winning interactive web applications for The Shodor Education Foundation in Durham, NC. He was also instrumental in the initial development of WebAssign for the physics department at NC State University.
Bob graduated cum laude from NC State with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics and a minor in Physics.
Tom has over 10 years experience in Human Resources and Staffing. He previously worked at Carnegie Mellon University where he was the Senior Human Resources Administrator. There he specialized in managing and recruiting technical professionals for the Software Engineering Institute, a division of Carnegie Mellon University. Previous to Carnegie Mellon University, Tom worked for Pittsburgh Business Consultants where he managed both the Human Resources and Recruiting activities.
Tom has an Active DoD Secret Security Clearance, has been certified by AIRS for Internet recruiting and also has his certification in Mediation for resolving workplace conflicts. He received an Associate of Science in Business Management from Community College of Allegheny County with honors.
