Pittsburgh, PA/Jupiter, FL (January 24, 2012) - Today, Grant Street Group announced that Volusia County Council has selected Grant Street Group's PaymentExpress™ as the new county-wide electronic payment processing solution for credit and debit cards.
PaymentExpress gives Volusia County departments the ability to accept major credit cards, including Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, bank debit cards (PIN and PIN-less), and electronic checks. By May 2012, 14 departments throughout the County will use PaymentExpress for in-person credit card services: each branch of the Revenue Division; Value Adjustment Board; Growth and Resource Management Department; Water Utilities; Marine Science Center; Solid Waste; Parks, Recreation and Culture; Lyonia Environmental Center; Debary Hall Visitor's Center; Daytona Airport; Department of Agriculture; Ocean Center Desk; Ocean Center Business Center; and the Ocean Center Parking Garage. Following the implementation at these departments, the Emergency Medical Services and Coastal Parks Departments will also make the transition to the new system.
PaymentExpress will also offer Volusia County residents the ability to conduct County business online at several departments, including: Revenue Division for payment of property tax, business tax, tourist tax and vehicle, vessel and mobile home registration renewals; Value Adjustment Board; Growth and Resource Management for payment of various permits, licenses and building fees; and Water Utilities for payment of county water and sewer bills.
