Kate Mallory is a Business Analyst Team Lead who joined Grant Street Group in September 2015.
Tell us about your role at Grant Street Group.
I work as a Business Analyst Team Lead for our PaymentExpress product. In this role, I complete all of the Business Analyst role’s responsibilities, including providing client support, investigating technical issues, planning our monthly software release, writing software specifications, functional and regression testing, and delivering training to our clients. However, I also get to lead my fellow Business Analysts and work with each individual on a weekly basis to identify professional goals, create action plans to achieve personal growth, and remove any roadblocks to success.
What initially drew you to Grant Street Group? What keeps you here?
When I came for my interview day at Grant Street Group, I was blown away by the people I got to meet. The staff at Grant Street Group in all departments was warm, intelligent, curious, and proactive. It was clear to me that I wanted to be on a team and learn from these people.
In the 2 years that I have been at Grant Street Group, the people I now get to call my colleagues continue to keep me here. I have a deep respect for the impressive skill sets my team members have and appreciate how this pushes me to continue to develop my own skills.
What do you most enjoy about telecommuting?
It’s wonderful to have the flexibility to be able to work from anywhere and still have a thriving career!
What advice would you give to a future Grant Street Group employee?
Never stop learning! Curiosity and a growth oriented mindset are key components of success at Grant Street Group. Throughout your career at Grant Street Group, make sure that you are open to learning something new every day, aren’t afraid to dig deeper into a new problem, and are setting professional goals that test your limits.
What are you working on outside of work?
Planning a wedding, which is surprisingly a lot of work!
