waltonToday, Grant Street Group, the leading provider of web-based tax collection software in Florida, announced that the Walton County Tax Collector went live with TaxSys®, a state-of-the-art, web-based tax collection and billing system. Walton County, one of the panhandle’s jewels on the Emerald Coast, is home to over 55,000 citizens.

Walton becomes the 21st Florida County Tax Collector’s Office to convert to TaxSys since the system was launched in 2006. The office collects over $134 million in property taxes on more than 80,000 parcels each year, in addition to providing motor vehicle and drivers license services.

Walton County’s conversion to TaxSys was completed in just 7 months, beginning in February 2015 and concluding on September 28, 2015. This included the transition to PaymentExpress, Grant Street Group’s e-payment solution, which is fully integrated with TaxSys, and RenewExpress, which allows citizens to renew their vehicle and vessel registrations online.

“Our office strives to provide Walton County Citizens with prompt, personalized, and friendly service,” said Rhonda Skipper, Walton County Tax Collector. “The switch to TaxSys will help us provide new and exciting services to the public we serve, such as e-billing,” continued Ms. Skipper.
