On September 24, the School District of Miami-Dade County, Florida sold a $475 million tax anticipation note sale on MuniAuction, Grant Street Group’s online municipal bond auction platform. Proceeds from the competitive sale will help the district fund operating expenses for the 2020-2021 school year.
Throughout the auction, 12 underwriters submitted 124 bids, extending the end of the sale 18 times, as they repeatedly improved their bids during the last two minutes of the auction. Overall, six firms won a portion of the notes.
