October 20, 2022 – Today, Grant Street Group announced the Clay County Tax Collector’s Office has successfully gone live with TaxSys, Grant Street’s cloud-based tax collection and billing system. Located in northeastern Florida with a population of over 215,000 residents, Clay County encompasses Green Cove Springs, Orange Park, Middleburg, and Keystone Heights.
“Simply put, the implementation experience and software has exceeded our expectations,” said Diane Hutchings, Clay County Tax Collector. “Modern technology is critically important to how we serve our customers and run our operations, and with TaxSys being fully web-based, our services and operations instantly have gone to the next level.”
The TaxSys implementation began in March 2022 and was completed on time and on budget over a seven month period. In addition to TaxSys, the Tax Collector’s Office began using PaymentExpress®, Grant Street’s e-payments solution, and RenewExpress® for processing vehicle registration renewals in 2021. Clay County has also utilized Grant Street’s tax lien auction services since 2005.
Clay County’s conversion included several other integrated services from Grant Street’s tax collection suite:
- Centralized portal for delinquent tax services including the annual tax certificate sale
- Online tourist development tax filing and payments
- Integrated escrow payment processing
- Integrated prosperity information reports
- Integrated data analytics
