FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Grant Street Group, the leading provider of web-based tax collection software in Florida, announced today that the Escambia County Tax Collector has signed a contract for a comprehensive suite of tax collection software. This includes TaxSys®, a state-of-the-art, web-based tax collection and billing system; PaymentExpress®, a full service payment solution for credit cards, debit cards, and e-checks; and LienAuction®, Grant Street’s online tax certificate auction platform.

Home to the City of Pensacola, and one of Florida’s original counties, Escambia County is one of the 20 largest counties in the State with a population of over 300,000 and over $252 million in tax collections.

Escambia will become the 22nd Florida County Tax Collector’s Office to switch to TaxSys since the system was launched in 2006. The six-month conversion to TaxSys begins in August 2015, with an anticipated completion date in February 2016. Grant Street’s PaymentExpress service for online e-payment and over-the-counter payments will begin in March 2016.

“In addition to conducting substantial research on TaxSys, Grant Street’s implementation approach and successful track record with conversions in other counties was a key factor in our decision,” said Janet Holley, Escambia County Tax Collector. “The full integration TaxSys provides for all collection activities allows for streamlined operations and continuous customer service improvement – our number one priority,” continued Ms. Holley.

In addition to TaxSys and PaymentExpress, Escambia County will begin using Grant Street’s LienAuction tax certificate auction platform for its annual tax lien sale. The new auction website will be available to the public in early 2016.

“The Escambia County Tax Collector’s office is a significant addition to Grant Street Group’s client base,” said Ian Yorty, Grant Street Group’s Chief Business Development Officer. “TaxSys implementations are a highly collaborative process that result in further refinements and benefits to the system for all our clients. Ms. Holley and her team of highly-tuned professionals bring a wealth of tax collection expertise to the table and are a pleasure to work with.”
