Grant Street Group successfully launched its PaymentExpress solution for online and in-person payments for the Georgia Department of Revenue (DOR) across its 12 regional offices and online at the Georgia Tax Center. In addition to processing all of DOR’s motor vehicle related payments, PaymentExpress now processes payments for DOR’s various state tax payments and includes the option to use PayPal, further enhancing the customer service experience for Georgia taxpayers.

“At the Georgia Department of Revenue, we work diligently to provide our customers with fast, secure, and reliable options to pay their taxes and register their motor vehicles,” said Frank O’Connell, State Revenue Commissioner. “This new service is another step forward in our efforts to be the most customer-focused, solutions-oriented Department in the country.”

On April 15, Tax Day, the Georgia DOR processed over $5 million in individual state income tax returns and account payments through PaymentExpress. Georgia taxpayers were able to complete secure transactions effortlessly by inserting or tapping credit and debit cards at DOR regional offices and via Georgia’s online Tax Center.

“We are pleased to continue partnering with the Georgia Department of Revenue to provide a convenient and secure payment solution this tax season,” said Tim Lowrance, Grant Street Group’s Business Development Strategist. “Our payment solution integrates seamlessly with the DOR’s systems across all offices and online, reducing wait times, errors, and operational costs.”

The benefits of PaymentExpress include seamless integration with county and state systems of record, increased digital payment adoption, robust security, faster checkout times, reduced e-check returns, and improved reconciliation, account balancing, and reporting, to name a few.
