Grant Street Group announced today that the Martin County, Florida Tax Collector’s office has gone live with TaxSys® as its new tax collection and billing system. Located on Florida’s Treasure Coast, Martin County is home to 160,000 residents. It includes the City of Stuart and the Village of Indiantown, as well as Jupiter Island, Palm City, and Sewall’s Point.

The Martin County Tax Collector’s Office chose TaxSys following a competitive procurement process conducted in 2018.

“Modernizing our tax collection system was a significantly important strategic project as we look to advance operational efficiencies and the services we offer the public,” said Ruth Pietruszewski, Martin County Tax Collector. “With TaxSys, we now have the tools to do both and I was thoroughly impressed with Grant Street throughout the implementation experience.”

The conversion also included several other services from Grant Street’s tax collection suite:

  • LienHub® – a central portal for delinquent tax services including the annual tax certificate sale
  • PaymentExpress® – online and in-person payment processing including e-check, credit and debit card payments
  • RenewExpress® – online vehicle and vessel renewals
  • TouristExpress™ – online tourist development tax filing and payment

Martin County becomes the twenty-fifth Florida county to rely on TaxSys, which is used to collect over $20 billion in Florida property taxes each year.

“It was a pleasure working with Ms. Pietruszewski and her team of professionals during the implementation,” said Craig Phillips, Grant Street’s Florida Business Development Manager. “The Martin conversion enabled us to make some improvements to our implementation framework as well as product enhancements. We look forward to serving the Martin County Tax Collector’s office.”
