Grant Street Group Achieves Payment Card Industry (PCI) Level 1 Certification

January 31, 2011

Pittsburgh, PA/Jupiter, FL (January 31, 2011) — Today, Grant Street Group announced that it has received confirmation as a Level 1 Service Provider under the Payment Card Industry (PCI) Data Security Standards. The PCI Data Security Standards are established by payment card industry leaders, and endorsed by leading card brands such as Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express.

Grant Street Group’s Level 1 certification extends to several custom web payment applications, including PaymentExpress (electronic payment processing service) and RenewExpress (online vehicle/vessel registration renewals).

“Not only is PaymentExpress seamlessly integrated with TaxSys®, Grant Street Group’s web-based tax collection and billing system, it now has the highest level of PCI certification”, said Ian Yorty, Director of Florida Business Development. Today, six of Grant Street Group’s Tax Collector clients are using PaymentExpress (Pinellas, Okaloosa, Charlotte, St. Lucie, Osceola and Highlands Counties).

To obtain the Level 1 Certification, Grant Street Group underwent a comprehensive third-party PCI compliance audit. The audit entailed a review of 375 separate control points.

“Our PCI Level 1 Certification demonstrates that Grant Street Group will take whatever steps are necessary to ensure maximum security of customer and cardholder data”, said Bob O’Neill, Director of E-Payment Technology, who led the initiative. “We dedicated several people to the project for six months and built out a completely separate network for processing payments, going above and beyond PCI standard requirements.”
