Nassau County, Florida Now Live on TaxSys®

July 28, 2014 Nassau County

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

The Nassau County Tax Collector’s office is now live on TaxSys®, Grant Street Group’s state-of-the-art, web-based tax collection and billing system and integrated suite of tax collection software. Nassau County is the 17th Florida Tax Collector’s office to convert to TaxSys since the system was launched in 2006. The Tax Collector’s office collects nearly $109 million in property taxes on more than 47,000 parcels each year.

“Moving to TaxSys allows the Nassau County Tax Collector’s office to streamline our services into one, all encompassing, software package,” said John Drew, Nassau County Tax Collector. “With the integration of credit card processing, tax certificate sales and tax deed applications, we will realize significant operational efficiencies and better serve the great people of Nassau County,” continued Mr. Drew.

Nassau County’s conversion to TaxSys took just over five months, beginning in February 2014 and concluding on July 28, 2014. This included the transition to PaymentExpress®, which allows the Tax Collector’s Office to accept all major credit cards at each branch office and online, in addition to e-checks.

“We congratulate Nassau County on a seamless and pain-free conversion,” said Ian Yorty, Grant Street Group’s Chief Business Development Officer. “Their professionalism and diligence throughout the entire conversion is an illustration to the outstanding customer service they provide to their customers,” continued Mr. Yorty.
