Are you a curious, thoughtful HR professional who loves asking why and isn’t satisfied with “we’ve always done it this way”? Do you want to contribute to a collaborative, people-first HR team that thrives on impact, variety, and continuous improvement? If so, the HR Generalist role at Grant Street Group may be the perfect fit!
At Grant Street Group, we build software to help governments work more efficiently – and we know none of that happens without our people. Our HR team is focused on finding, keeping, and growing exceptional talent.
You’ll be joining a growing, fully remote HR team made up of recruiters, generalists, and coordinators. We wear many hats and love bringing new ideas to the table. We’re looking for someone with HR experience who enjoys research, has a knack for refining processes, and is comfortable working in a complex, multi-state environment.
Here are a few things we believe:
- When you put people over policies and freedom over management, great things happen
- Across the company, we hire for values and character and are willing to train for skills
- HR is not about saying “no”
In this role, you will:
- Be a go-to resource for employees, supporting them throughout the employee lifecycle
- Partner with Finance and Operations on payroll, benefits, and employee relations
- Lead and support recurring annual events like performance reviews and compensation analysis
- Stay up to date on multi-state employment laws and help keep us compliant and well-documented
- Research HR topics and trends, propose improvements, and help implement better ways of working
- Take on projects that make our processes smoother and our people’s experience better
You’re a great fit if you:
- Have previous experience as an HR Generalist or in a similar HR role
- Are familiar with the unique challenges of multi-state employment compliance
- Love improving how things are done—and backing it up with research
- Communicate clearly and concisely, both in writing and conversation
- Are humble, proactive, and thoughtful in every aspect of your work
- Stay organized and reliable, even when juggling multiple tasks or deadlines
- Are comfortable using your judgment in situations where there isn’t one clear answer
There is minimal travel required: 1-2 weeks per year for in-person meetings. We can’t wait to get to know you and discover how you’ll make an impact here. Apply today to start the conversation!
