Broward County Selects PaymentExpress™ as New E-Payment Processing Solution for Tax Payments
Pittsburgh, PA (October 23, 2012) — Today, Grant Street Group announced that Broward County has selected Grant Street Group's PaymentExpress™ as their new electronic payment processing solution for tax payments. PaymentExpress allows the County's Records, Taxes and Treasury Division to accept major credit cards, including Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover, as well as electronic checks. Broward County, the second most populous county in Florida and the 15th largest in the nation, has used Grant Street Group's tax collection and billing system, TaxSys®, since 2009.

During the evaluation of PaymentExpress, Broward County determined that to integrate with a new e-payment services provider other than Grant Street would require substantial and costly staff resources from the County's Records, Taxes and Treasury and IT divisions. The County's analysis of PaymentExpress concluded that PaymentExpress "...as integrated and used with the TaxSys application would be a virtually turnkey solution".
Grant Street Group is a Payment Card Industry (PCI) Level 1 Certified payment processor, which is the highest and most coveted security level that a firm can attain. PCI Data Security Standards are established by payment card industry leaders, and endorsed by leading card brands such as Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express. With the addition of Broward County, Grant Street will process in excess of $700 million annually through its PaymentExpress solution.
