SACRAMENTO - Grant Street Group, the leader in cloud-based government solutions for tax collection, billing and distribution, was awarded a contract with Sacramento County after a thorough RFP procurement process, including a multi-day product demonstration. Home to over 1.5 million people, the County encompasses the state’s capital in Sacramento and the cities of Elk Grove, Citrus Heights, Folsom, Galt, Isleton, and Rancho Cordova.
According to Rami Zakaria, Chief Information Officer for Sacramento County, the County was impressed with TaxSys’ capabilities and Grant Street’s reputation among its clients. “After conducting a comprehensive evaluation, the County team concluded Grant Street’s TaxSys solution is substantially more comprehensive and ready for implementation with minimal changes compared to other solutions. In addition, Grant Street’s reference checks were exceptional, validating our own assessment,” said Zakaria. “Replacing our property tax system has been a long and carefully planned process and we look forward to our implementation of TaxSys with Grant Street.”
The complete conversion to TaxSys will occur over 30 months, with a planned go-live in the fall of 2025. Sacramento County joins a growing list of California TaxSys clients, including the City and County of San Francisco, San Mateo County, and San Bernardino County.
