Grant Street Group’s (Grant Street) state-of-the-art tax collection and billing system – TaxSys – is now fully integrated with Florida’s new motor vehicle information system. In collaboration with Grant Street’s county Tax Collector clients and the state DMV, this modernization initiative provides a streamlined, more dependable experience for citizens when completing motor vehicle transactions. Hon. Scott Lunsford, Escambia County Tax Collector, has already seen the impact.

The new motor vehicle information system officially began its rollout in April 2025. Grant Street’s development began as early as 2023, and pilot testing with its county Tax Collector clients began in May 2024. Remaining Tax Collector office transitions are scheduled to be completed by the end of March 2026.

What’s Next?
The modernization journey continues, with the next phase – integrating online renewals through Grant Street’s RenewExpress with the new motor vehicle information system – set to begin rolling out in early 2026.
