Today, Grant Street Group announced the Indian River County Tax Collector, Carole Jean Jordan, has signed a contract with Grant Street Group for a comprehensive suite of tax collection software. The contract includes TaxSys®, a state-of-the-art, web-based tax collection and billing system, plus integrated tax collection software including LienAuction® an online tax certificate auction platform. Indian River will be the twelfth Florida Tax Collector to go live with TaxSys since the system was launched in 2006. With the addition of Indian River, TaxSys will collect over 42% of all property taxes in the State.
"After conducting a comprehensive evaluation of vendor systems, we determined that TaxSys was the clear choice," said Carole Jean Jordan. "The value of services is beyond competitive, as TaxSys includes software for credit card processing, online escrow tax payments, online tax deed applications, and interfaces with our accounting system and State systems including FDLIS and FRVIS. This is a win-win for our operations and more importantly for our taxpayers," continued Mrs. Jordan.
The Tax Collector's office successfully concluded its annual tax certificate sale using LienAuction on May 31, 2011. 4,202 tax certificates were sold for a total of $7.8 million in delinquent property taxes, which represents a collection ratio of 99.5%. The Indian River TaxSys conversion will take place over the next four months, with a scheduled completion date in September 2011.
